Players: Code of Conduct (U18s)
It is important everyone behaves themselves when playing football.
As a player, you have a big part to play. That's why The FA is asking every player to follow a Respect Code of Conduct.
When playing football, I will:
-
Always do my best, even if we're losing or the other team is stronger.
-
Play fairly - I won't cheat, complain or waste time.
-
Never be rude to my team-mates, the other team, the referee, spectators or my coach/team manager.
-
Do what the referee tells me.
-
Shake hands with the other team and referee at the end of the game.
-
Listen to my coach/team manager and respect what he/she says.
-
Talk to someone I trust, for example my parents or the club welfare officer if I'm unhappy about anything at my club.
I understand that if I do not follow the code, action may be taken.

Covid-19: Club Policy
Covid-19 Officers Statement:
West Hallam Junior Football Club has taken a proactive approach to the Covid-19 Pandemic to ensure the welfare of every single member of the club, and opposition teams playing at our venues. Since the start of lockdown in March 2020, the club has implemented various policies including the splitting of home and away spectators, santisation of equipment before and after use, and of the football during games. Alongside this the club has invested heavily to ensure we have excellent Covid-19 provisions such as sanitising stations, and signage around the venues. Furthermore, for training and matches we have developed our own tracking system and consent form to work alongside the NHS QR code tracker. We would like to thank all the coaches, players, parents, match officials, and visitors for supporting us in making football at West Hallam Junior Football Club safe for everyone.

Visiting Team's Information:
Dear Visitors and Opposition Teams,
This notice is written to inform you of our clubs policies before attending our venue. Prior to attending we ask that you ensure that you have completed your team’s self-assessment check as per the FA Guidance issued in July 2020 and March 2021. This data must be kept for 21 days and the West Hallam manager must keep a point of contact from your team for this purpose should an outbreak occur.
On site we ask that your team follows Government and FA Guidance. This includes socially distancing by keeping two meters apart, avoid gathering in groups, and attendance numbers are kept to minimum with the FA instructing a maximum of one parent/guardian for each player. Furthermore, we ask that spectators refrain from shouting as this allows the virus to be transmitted over a larger distance and we also ask that everyone refrains from spitting. As per the guidance we ask that nobody uses chewing gum either while on site. In order to assist with social distancing, we have put in place our own procedures, this includes splitting the spectators between home and away using the halfway line and a row of cones to do this. The signage on the day of the game will make this clearer. Should the football exit play. We ask that the spectators do not retrieve or touch the football as per the guidance – only the player or the home designated Parent Covid-19 Co-Ordinator should do so.
Access to the Pavilion is available on a matchday, to toilets only. The changing rooms and showers will be off limits unless in an emergency. The club has a clear bathroom procedure outlined and a sign outside the Pavilion explaining this. We will use a one in one out procedure and anyone using the toilet must apply the hand sanitiser available before entering and use the wipes provided to wipe down any handles and taps. We ask that anyone attending should use the toilet and clean their hands before attending the venue.
The car park at the Beech Lane Pavilion is closed and access is only permitted for coaches including opposition managers. This is due to the small size of the car park which means social distancing is not possible with a large number of vehicles.
The West Hallam manager will conduct a pre-match briefing with the match officials along with you and your team before the game to remind you of these procedures. If you wish to see a copy of our Risk Assessment, it is available for public viewing and can be found on this page of the website. We have asked our managers to clean the footballs will be cleaned frequently throughout the game as well.
Could we ask that this information is communicated to your team ahead of the fixture, and we wish you well for the game and the rest of the season.
Best Wishes,
Ryan Parkes and Dan Jemmerson (Covid-19 Officers)
Referee Information:
Dear Match Officials,
This notice is written to inform you of our club’s policies before you attend our venue. Prior to attending we ask that that you have completed the club’s self-assessment check as per the FA Guidance issued in July 2020 and March 2021. The West Hallam manager is responsible for sending the form to you, and it must be filled out on the day of the game before arrival. The data will be stored for 21 days for the purposes of track and trace. If you are under the age of 18, you must put a parent or guardians contact information on the form.
Onsite we ask that you follow Government and FA Guidance. This includes socially distancing by keeping two meters apart and gathering in groups of no more than six (limited to a maximum of two different households). As per the guidance, we ask that everyone refrains from spitting and we ask that you do not use chewing gum either. In order to assist with social distancing, we have put in place our own procedures, this includes splitting the spectators between home and away using the halfway line and a row of cones to do this. The signage on the day of the game will make this clearer. Should the football exit play, we ask that the spectators do not retrieve or touch the football – only the player or the home designated Parent Covid-19 Co-Ordinator should do so. If a football does touch a spectator, the football should be cleaned before re-entering play or a cleaned replacement sent to the player. On top of this, the footballs will be cleaned periodically throughout the game as well. As the match official if you see this occur then please inform the player to wait for a cleaned football to be provided. We have asked our managers to split the games into four quarters as well, to allow for an opportunity to clean the equipment.
Access to the Pavilion is available on a matchday, to toilets only. The changing rooms and showers will be off limits unless in an emergency.
